A PERSON’S mood, daily performance, mental function, immune system, and physical health are all affected by the lack of sleep. However, it has become common for many people to push aside sleep in this fast-moving society and to prioritize work or social life. People go to bed past midnight, sleep for just a few hours, and sometimes even pull all-nighters working assiduously straight into the morning. The importance of sleep is often downplayed. They may not be aware, but these small habits are detrimental both to their health and daily behavior.
In order to function better the following day, we should try to get a good night’s sleep. We should not try to take more responsibilities than we can handle and try to manage our time wisely. The opportunity to relax should be taken whenever possible. Once the sun sets, we should change into comfortable clothes, sip on a warm cup of tea, dim the lights, close our minds and eyes, and start dreaming.
